Common questions

What does Albatross Marine make?

Oceanaut, fleet management software for shipowners and operators; Oceanaut Dry Dock, where shipyards bid on and run dry-dock work; and NaviOrca, remote vessel monitoring for fleets.

Is Oceanaut only for Canada's MSMSR?

No. Oceanaut follows the safety management system structure of the ISM Code, which Transport Canada's MSMSR also follows. Operators use it whether or not the MSMSR applies to them.

Does Oceanaut work without internet on board?

Yes. The mobile app keeps a local copy of the crew's data for offline drafts and voyages, and the web app has an offline mode. Records sync when the connection is back.

Can an inspector see our records without an account?

Yes. Remote Inspections emails the surveyor a unique link; they verify with a one-time code and see the vessel's records, read-only, until the date you set.
